4502_81823502460_1307416_nAmerica’s most popular propaganda tool, America’s Army (you thought I was going to say FOX News, didn’t you?), is taking beta requests for its pseudo-realistic shooter sequel: Proving Grounds.

For those who don’t know, America’s Army is a game commissioned and developed with The United States army, as a way to bridge the gap between on-screen kills and a possible career in the armed forces. In fairness to the series, it’s always been a quite good shooter, focusing on more tactical, realistic combat than, say, Call of Duty.

You can sign up for the beta here. Alternatively, if you’d like a realistic combat simulator that isn’t designed to recruit you into the worlds most powerful armed forces, you can try the Arma 3 Alpha by Bohemia Interactive.
