Bastion creator Supergiant Games have released a trailer for an upcoming sci-fi action-RPG titled Transistor.

The game seems to put together various themes such as fantasy, western as well as sci-fi. It centres on a young woman named Red who acquires a mysterious and powerful sword, the Transistor. She must uncover its history while battling different types of enemies.

As expected of Supergiant Games, Transistor seems to have the same beautiful art style and compelling soundtrack. Unlike Bastion, however, it will not have a narrator. Although, they revealed that the music is supposed to be sung by the protagonist herself.

Transistor is due to launch sometime in 2014, possibly on next-gen consoles.
