Epic Games Head of Marketing Kendall Boyd has accepted a position at Microsoft to work on Halo.
“We can confirm that Kendall Boyd has joined Microsoft Studios as DIrector of Halo Global Marketing. We’re thrilled to welcome him into the Halo fold,” a Microsoft representative confirmed.
“Yes, Kendall Boyd has left Epic Games to join our long-time partner Microsoft. We wish him well on his new adventure,” said Epic Games.
Before he started working for Epic in 2010, Boyd worked for EA Sports as part of the marketing division. He also spent some time working for the recently-bankrupt and highly in debt THQ.
There have now been four departures of key people from Epic Games within the past six months. Aside from Boyd, President Mike Capps, Design Director Cliff “CliffyB” Bleszinski as well as Producer Rod Fergusson have all left.
