GTA Online PS3 patch fixes server issues, microtransactions temporarily halted
Rockstar has officially patched Grand Theft Auto Online for PS3 fixing the server issues. Patch for Xbox 360 will follow later today.
Grand Theft Auto Online has been experiencing several problems on PS3 and Xbox 360 since its launch. People have reported not being able to log-in due to a limit to the amount of concurrent users, a problem that was resolved today for PS3 users today.
There have also been other problems reported such as not being able to get past the first tutorial mission and some issues with online services.
“We are identifying these issues now and are working to restore stability for users as soon as possible.”
“We’re aware that a variety of technical difficulties have made it difficult to get access and that the experience has been a bit less than smooth for many of you who jumped in straight away, so here are a few updates as of this afternoon to keep you all apprised,” Rockstar said.
Rockstar have also temporarily disabled microtransactions while they work on getting everything functional. “Players can however keep on earning GTA$ by pulling of Jobs and other profitable gameplay activities rather than purchasing cash packs,” they explained.
