The UK RP Manager for Gearbox Software has elevated himself to somewhat of a legendary status:

“We want to provide an afternoon of extreme fun and discover just how psycho Borderlands 2 fans can get. A bungee jump is the perfect way to truly test your nerves and we’re excited to bring the insane pleasure of the game into the real world!”

On the 23rd of September at the Old Truman Brewery, London, fans of Borderlands 2 will have the opportunity to bungee off a crane in order to “win” a copy of Borderlands 2. I say win, but in actuality they’re giving everyone who participates a copy of this long-awaited game. The jumps will be first come, first jump, from 10am to 4pm.

Those of you with less money and even less sense could potentially get themselves a free copy of the game, if they have the balls.

This PR student is reminiscent of the London Capcom event for Resident Evil 5 that had gamers running through the streets of London in search of dismembered body parts; a stunt that, whilst literally containing realistic body parts thrown across the alleys of London, didn’t actually cause as much of a stir as it could have.

For those of you not familiar with bungee jumping: it’s like hanging yourself – only, from the feet, and with a stretch rope. Enjoy!
