The work of J.R.R Tolkien is as popular as ever, the second movie in the trilogy involving our favorite “burglerobbit” Bilbo Baggins, had its premiere in the middle of December, and the MMORPG LotRO, based on the world of Middle-earth are still going strong. Though, during a recent event, Community Manager Rick Heaton confirmed that they will not release any new dungeons or raids in the near future.

If you both like the books and the movies about hobbits, orcs, elves and dwarves of Middle-Earth, and you’re into video games, you’ve probably heard of Lord of The Rings Online. An MMORPG set in Tolkien’s fictional world. The game started out as a subscription based title, but went free-to-play during 2010.

During a recent event called “Taking The Hobbits To Isengard” , Rick Heaton, also known as Sapience, spent some time answering questions from players, confirming that Turbine is not currently working on any new dungeons or raids for their game, they’re not planning Rohan housing or server-merging either.
