Telltale games CEO Dan Connors told Eurogamer last night after winning Best Story at the BAFTA Game Awards last night that they plan on launching the second season of The Walking Dead “fall next year.”
That is quite a while from now but writer Gary Whitta slipped recently and revealed that “there may very well be more Walking Dead from Telltale before season two.”
Dan Connors went on to say that “we’ll probably have something to announce fairly soon about what we’re going to do.”
Other than the release, Telltale hasn’t ruled out the release of the next installment (and previous ones) of The Walking Dead on next-gen consoles.
“I would think so, though, but it’s all going to depend on timing I guess. But we don’t have enough information from them [Sony] to announce it or anything.”
Connor also expressed his positive impression on Sony’s next-gen console, “Oh I love it. “I love that they’re going to invest in the connected experience. I think there’s a lot of room for us to grow there and take advantage of that and create new experiences with the stats and the shared experiences. There’s a huge opportunity there.”
