Sony executives give up their annual bonuses
Around 40 Sony Corporation executives are to return their annual bonuses after Kaz Hirai, CEO, proposed the idea to the board, according to Bloomberg.
The bonuses are reportedly between 30 to 50% of their total annual pay; the decision being pushed forward because of low profitability for a second term.
Last year, Hirai himself forwent his bonus, but this year more drastic steps are being taken.
The expected profits for Sony this year in £261 million, which follows the sale of some of its offices, and the currently weak Japanese yen.
