Riot Games have introduced a new skin for Ezreal that is set at a whopping 3250 Riot Points, ~roughly £16.
Although currently as part of the release promotion for the skin, you can grab it for “1625 RP – a full 50% off his base price“
Legendary skins are usually not quite this expensive – so why the cost increase?
This skin comes with a set of new taunts as well as new aesthetics for all of Ezreals abilities; however the interesting part is the fact that the skin actually alters depending on the character level.
Check out the full promotional page by Riot Games here, the page gives a few clips of Ezreals new look as well as the taunts and some stuff at the bottom detailing the 50% off promo price.
Of course, whilst this is undeniably fancy – it requires a lot more work to create the multiple stages and taunts, ergo the increased cost; but is it worth it?
Will this set a new trend by Riot games to produce this multi-tier aesthetic skins? or will they be one-off’s that appear once every year?

For those that have been able to get into Max Payne 3 and sample the multiplayer you may have come across a few of the hackers and other gits that like to ruin your day for a quick-cheap laugh.
Via Videogamer Rockstar have posted a warning to all potential hackers and cheaters, stating that they’ve already started taking firm action against them and will “indefinitely banish” those that get a second offense for hacking.
“We’re aware that a small minority of players are spoiling the Max Payne 3 multiplayer experience for honest players with cheats and hacks, and while certain issues will be dealt with in forthcoming title updates, today we’d like to make it clear that anyone using these nefarious methods will be dealt with.“
“Anyone found to have used hacked saves, modded games, or other exploits to gain an unfair advantage in Max Payne 3 Multiplayer, or to circumvent the leaderboards will be quarantined from all other players into a “Cheaters Pool”, where they’ll only be able to compete in multiplayer matches with other confirmed miscreants. In the event we decide to absolve any of these cheaters for their past transgressions they may re-enter play with the general public, however a second offense will result in their indefinite banishment. In either case, we will be removing invalid leaderboard entries to ensure that the players at the top of the charts have earned their spots fairly.“
So at least those hoping to get into some of the arcade leader-boards without cheating will have a fair chance now – as Rockstar starts pooling them away from the non-cheater leader-board.
Rockstar also advice any players that spot potential cheaters/hackers during multiplayer games should contact firstname.lastname@example.org and include the following:
- Platform (PC, PS3 or Xbox 360)
- Cheater’s Gamertag / ID
- Description of the violation
- If possible, please include concrete evidence, such as a video or a screenshot
Hopefully this will allow the users most affected by these hackers/cheaters to be able to get back and enjoy the goodness that is Max Payne 3 Multiplayer.
In an interview by VG24/7, Sam Clay manages to grab Dominic Guay -Watch Dogs producer, and ask him to give out a few more details for what appears to be the hit title of E3.
about 4:40 minutes into the interview, Sam Clay asks about the illusive second character that E3 viewers saw at the end of the teaser.
S.C: “So, at the end of the demo on stage.. A second guy popped up in game – for about a minute. Can you tell anything about that?“
D.G: “Online is in the DNA of Watch dogs, our motto is everything is connected, Connection is power – So we couldn’t announce the game and not at least tease online; But it was a tease i’ll be honest, so basically jonathan our creative director was playing pearce – and I was playing another character and hacked into him – we were two players that crossed paths. We definitely want to blend in multiplayer – online and singleplayer in ways that hasn’t been done before.“
This means that we may very well be seeing a game where people can have their own objectives and their own objectives but still be able to work together or impact each others story, whether this is a set system where a player can only affect another players missions – or if it will be more open and allow players to dive into each others games and do their own thing. – akin to perhaps Red Dead Redemptions multiplayer.
A release date has yet to be announced besides the interview response “definitely not ship this year” – but it has been revealed as a PC and Console title
If you watched the Ubisoft stream last night, you will likely have seen the hype build up in real-time, the game looked so good – many people claimed it was next gen tech (VG)

Whilst Videogamer.com is stating that the title is confirmed for PC, 360 and PS3, the press release doesns’t outright state it – at most a tweet confirms that the demo shown at the show was being run off a PC. : Twitter
IGN have posted that the game is slated for a PS3, 360 and PC release.

UBISOFT® DIVULGES DEVELOPMENT OF GROUNDBREAKING NEW IP “WATCH DOGS™
Los Angeles – 04 Jun 2012
Today at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Ubisoft debuted its new, ground-breaking intellectual property, an open-world action-adventure game called Watch Dogs.
Development of Watch Dogs is being led by Ubisoft Montreal, with a team comprised of industry veterans from blockbuster franchises like Assassin’s Creed®, Rainbow 6® and Far Cry™. Watch Dogs blends cutting-edge technologies and sophisticated game design into a realistic and living open world where players must use any means at their disposal to take down a corrupt system.
In Watch Dogs, players enter the dangerous world of Aiden Pearce, a new class of antihero whose ability to hack into any connected system could be his most powerful weapon. Whether it’s triggering a 30-car pileup by manipulating traffic-lights to trap an enemy during a downtown shootout or tapping into the city’s omnipresent security cameras to access anyone’s personal information, Pearce is capable of coercing and controlling almost every element of the world around him.
“Watch Dogs goes beyond the limits of today’s open-world games by giving players the ability to control an entire city,” said Jonathan Morin, creative director, Ubisoft. “In Watch Dogs, anything connected to the city’s Central Operating System becomes a weapon. By pushing the boundaries, we can provide players with action and access to information on a scale that’s never been seen in a video game before.”

UNSC, United Nations Security Council or United Nations Space Command?
Whilst many members of the gaming community will likely recognize which is real and which is from the Halo series.
The incorrect logo was shown in last Thursday’s ‘News at One’, whilst discussing amnesty International’s call for intervention from the United Nations Security Council in Syria.
A BBC spokesperson told Eurogamer: “BBC News makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of all images broadcast, however very occasionally mistakes do happen. Unfortunately an incorrect logo was used during a segment on last week’s News at One bulletin and we apologise to viewers for the mistake.ich is the Halo corporation, the BBC however didn’t.”
“The image was not broadcast in our later bulletins.”
GAME have added a trade-in price-checker for people that want to know what they can get for their games before heading out to the store in person.
Whilst a little behind the curve; CEX already offered this service. It’s nice to see GAME offering this option finally.
The Price Checker is always kept up-to-date with our latest Trade-In values, so you can be sure the price quoted is the game’s current value. We’ll show you the value of the game as both cash and credit, and feel free to check as many games as you like – the Price Checker will add up the total for you as you go, so you know exactly what to expect when it’s time to trade your games in.
To check each game, you need to enter the barcode on the case and resolve a captcha.
This seems a tad cumbersome and might introduce issues for old/e put onto the system
Currently, GAME are also trying to encourage trade-in’s by giving a ”25% extra Trade-In.”
I tried an old PS2 game ‘Enter the Matrix’ and Quelle surprise, it didn’t work; Although I was able to try more barcodes without having to do another captcha, so checking multiple games at once will not cause issues.
- Trying another code, ArmA X anniversary edition, I was offered a whopping 1p cash, £15 trade in, go figure.
