Ubisoft creative director Jonathan Morin has confirmed that Watch Dogs will have an 8-player open world multiplayer mode.

Morin responded to a fan on Twitter, after being asked what else would feature in the game, beyond single player.

This news follows the announcement earlier this week that the game will be seeing a release in May, meaning six months of extra development time compared to the original release date. A delay was announced by Ubisoft only one month before the game was due for release in November last year.

Fans of the game got a bit of a fright last month, after it was revealed that the Watch Dogs trade mark was abandoned. Fortunately, Ubisoft responded by saying this was due to fraud, and they’ve since restored the trademark.
